Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an experienced field engineer for on-site installation, commissioning and maintenance of high voltage equipment in Italy. You will independently perform tasks, coordinate field technicians, and report outcomes to customer representatives.

The role requires travel of 90-100% and strong Italian and English skills. Safety, integrity and customer satisfaction are core values; the position offers a competitive base salary with bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact

• Perform tasks like installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently, identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activity in installation and commissioning, site acceptance testing, routine maintenance, oil treatment etc.;
• Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing work according to customer order and expectation. Maintain a good relationship with customers. Coordinate, prepare and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for installation and commissioning activities.
• Prepare all documents and report to be signed by the customer representative. Report work done in a timely manner and follow up when needed.
• Troubleshoot simple equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
• Provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.

Your Background

• Good knowledge of both Italian and English.
• Experience in a similar role inside High Voltage Products field is considered a plus.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate field technicians.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

Starting from:38,000 € gross annual.

In addition to the base salary, this role includes a performance bonus and a results-based bonus, designed to reward both individual contribution and company performance.

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
