Job summary

Energy Dome S.p.A. is recruiting an experienced Project Development Manager to mature utility-scale CO2 Battery projects from feasibility through ready-to-build stages, coordinating grid connections, permitting and engagement with local partners across Italy and Europe.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risks and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders and external authorities, while driving projects toward final investment decisions and bankable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in energy project development with permits and grid connection experience.
• Strong know-how in grid connection processes and negotiations with TSOs/DSOs (Terna and Italian DSOs).
• Proven ability to coordinate internal teams and external partners across complex projects.
• Excellent communication across technical, regulatory, commercial and public audiences.
• Fluency in Italian and professional English; willingness to travel in Italy and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of assigned projects from feasibility to ready-to-build/FID, managing scope, schedule, budget and risks.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to keep projects on plan and de-risked.
• Communicate effectively with grid operators, authorities, partners and landowners.
• Manage grid connection applications, studies and negotiations; assess feasibility, capacity, costs and timelines.
• Steer projects through Italian authorisation processes and EU frameworks; interface with municipalities and permitting authorities.
• Collaborate with local developers and co-developers, aligning workstreams and integrating pipeline into delivery process.
• Coordinate consultants and external advisors to deliver required studies and approvals.
• De-risk toward FID and contribute to business case and financial models.
• Support origination by assessing and securing new opportunities within the pipeline.
• Track regulatory landscape and feed changes into project strategy.
