Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Director of Sustainability Europe to drive the company’s ESG strategy across Transit and European operations. The role reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Sustainability and translates regulatory requirements, market trends, and stakeholder expectations into actionable business plans.

You will lead cross-functional teams, oversee reporting governance, and advise regional leadership on sustainability initiatives, performance metrics, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 8+ years in sustainability/ESG, regulatory affairs, or related disciplines.
• Experience building programs in multinational industrial/transportation settings.
• Strong understanding of CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, GRI, ISSB, TCFD.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders across regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESG reporting and regulatory support across Europe.
• Drive sustainability strategy and cross-functional leadership across Transit and European ops.
• Support commercial teams with ESG responses and customer engagements.
• Represent Wabtec in industry forums and stakeholder engagements.
• Provide strategic guidance to regional leadership and ensure governance and data integrity.
