Job summary

Berlin Packaging is seeking a Senior ESG Governance & Reporting Lead (EMEA) to strengthen ESG governance, sustainability reporting, and performance management across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. This senior role drives CSRD/ESRS compliance, data quality, and cross-functional coordination with Finance, Legal, Procurement, HR, and QHSE teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Political Science, Environmental Management, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5/7 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability reporting, ESG governance, nonfinancial reporting, corporate sustainability, or auditor-related fields.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, cross-functional reporting or transformation programs in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and execution of the EMEA sustainability reporting roadmap, aligning with CSRD and ESRS requirements.
• Define ESG reporting governance, roles, data ownership, validation steps and reporting calendars.
• Ensure consistency and completeness of ESG information across EMEA entities and reporting cycles.
• Coordinate CSRD/ESRS readiness, data collection, gap analysis and action planning.
• Support audit readiness and internal controls related to sustainability information.
