Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an NPDI Project Manager in Piove di Sacco, Italy. You will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations from project inception to launch.

You will drive a structured product development lifecycle, manage scope, schedule and budget, and partner with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and cost targets. Travel up to 20% is required; HVAC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Master degree preferred).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Project/Program Manager in a structured organization.
• Understanding of the product development lifecycle from concept to commercialization.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Smartsheet.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent leadership and influencing skills for cross-functional teams.
• Proactive with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Travel up to 20% within Europe, occasional international travel.
• HVAC sector experience and Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PM for new product development aligned with goals.
• Ensure projects follow Corporate NPDI Process.
• Create and execute plans with timelines, milestones, and resources.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and budgets across multiple sites.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and teamwork to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, product, and leadership.
• Track progress and report KPIs to stakeholders and management.
• Identify and mitigate risks impacting timelines or quality.
• Drive continuous improvement in the product development process.
• Define product requirements with Product Management and Engineering.
