Confidential is seeking an Electronic Engineer for our Pisa-based R&D team to develop advanced sensing and radar technologies. You will define product requirements, design analogue electronic architectures, and support the full lifecycle from concept to production launch.

The role emphasizes hands-on circuit design, testing, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in an international environment. Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid grounding in circuit analysis and design fundamentals.
• Extensive analogue circuit design experience (front ends, signal conditioning, power management).
• Proficient with Cadence OrCAD X Platform.
• Knowledge of PCB design and layout considerations.
• Experience with analogue circuit simulation tools.
• Experience with measurements using lab instruments (spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, power meters).
• Hands-on approach to prototyping and testing.
• Teamwork attitude and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

About the role

For our Pisa-based office, we are looking for an Electronic Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of advanced sensing and radar technologies. In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to define product requirements, design innovative electronic solutions, and support the full product lifecycle from concept and development through testing, production launch, and lifecycle management.

You will be involved in the design of analogue electronic architectures, the development and testing of electronic boards, the creation of technical documentation, the resolution of technical and manufacturing challenges, and the design of dedicated testing equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the position include the following:

• To conceive new designs and schematics for new products
• To maintain existing products and reviewing existing designs, changing components etc
• To prepare design related documentation
• To perform testing, validation, verification and troubleshooting on circuit board prototypes using lab equipment
• To oversee and perform customer return testing and suggest design improvements or corrective action based on evaluation of test data
• To define design requirements and work with external contractors for layout and other support activities when necessary
• To communicate with suppliers, manufacturers and distributors for part selection and troubleshooting
• To be compliant with workplace health and safety requirements and directions when working on customer / dealer / end user sites

What We're Looking For

• 5+ year experience in a similar position
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong grasp on fundamentals of circuit analysis and design
• Significant experience in analogue circuit design such as analogue front ends, signal conditioning systems and power management systems
• Good knowledge with Cadence OrCAD X Platform
• Good knowledge of PCB design and layout considerations
• Expertise in the use of analogue circuits simulation tools
• Experience in measurements with laboratory instruments (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Power Meter, etc.)
• Hands-on approach, whether it be building a prototype or performing testing with dedicated test benches
• Teamwork attitude
• A relevant Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Have

• Experience in RF & Microwaves Circuits Design
• Familiarity with industry standards for analogue circuit design
• Knowledge of basic principles of Electro Magnetic Compatibility and EM propagation
• Experience with Altium Platform
• Expertise in the use of electromagnetic (EM) simulation software (HFSS)
• Basic knowledge of Labview or Python scripting

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Office: good knowledge of Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook

Languages

• Italian native
• English: professional working proficiency, both written and spoken

Travel Requirements

A very small part of working time may be spent traveling to:

• meet suppliers when needed
• perform on site measurement and give support to other depts

Compensation

We offer a permanent employment contract. The final compensation offered will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and overall fit for the role.

Annual gross salary range: €38.000 - 43.000
