OXI S.r.L. seeks an AI & Computer Vision Engineer to drive end-to-end AI projects from data acquisition to deployment on edge devices in Modena. You will own lifecycle management of AI solutions, coordinate data annotation, and validate models with real-world sensor data.

Responsibilities include developing ML/DL/vision models, optimizing for edge platforms, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure production-grade performance and meaningful field outcomes.

• Experience in AI/ML/DL and computer vision for real-world applications.
• Ability to develop, train, and evaluate AI models with field feedback.
• Proficiency in image processing, feature extraction, and data quality assessment.
• Knowledge of camera systems, data acquisition pipelines, and sensor data integration.

• Design and develop AI, ML, DL, and computer vision solutions for real-world applications.
• Develop, train, evaluate, and improve AI models based on field validation results.
• Perform image processing, feature extraction, and data quality assessment.
• Select, configure, and validate camera systems aligned with project requirements.
• Develop data acquisition frameworks and pipelines for image and sensor data.
• Integrate data from GPS, CAN bus, machine signals, and onboard sensors.
• Support field testing, including installation and validation of camera and sensor systems.
• Collect and analyze real-world operational data to verify performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues during field deployments and understand operating conditions.
• Prepare, organise, and validate datasets for AI model training and evaluation.
• Coordinate with data annotation teams to define labeling standards and review quality.
• Ensure dataset integrity and readiness for model development.
• Optimise trained AI models for edge deployment and production readiness.
• Balance accuracy, latency, memory footprint, and hardware constraints.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of AI applications in operations.
• Contribute to the complete MLOps lifecycle: data prep, model training, deployment, retraining, and maintenance.
• Support research activities and rapid prototyping; evaluate emerging AI/vision technologies.
• Mentor KU Leuven Master’s thesis students.
