Job summary

Key To Business Srl is hiring a Data Scientist focusing on Computer Vision and NLP. You will design, train and validate deep learning models, work with LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, and develop AI agents. You will handle multimodal workflows and contribute to end-to-end model lifecycles, from data prep to evaluation.

The role emphasizes staying abreast of CVPR/NeurIPS/ACL papers and translating research into practical business solutions, with a startup mindset and autonomous execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years of practical DL experience.
• Strong Python OO programming.
• Deep Learning frameworks: PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with Hugging Face ecosystem, data versioning, experiments tracking.
• Computer Vision libraries and architectures (OpenCV, Vision Transformers).
• NLP/LLM experience with Transformer architectures and RAG (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• GIT version control and Docker experience.
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

Data Scientist (Computer Vision & NLP)

Key To Business Srl - Lavoro da casa, IT. Full time on site position.

Industrial Research

• Design, train and validate Deep Learning architectures (both custom and SOTA-based).
• LLM & Agents: Working with Large Language Models (LLM), implementing fine-tuning techniques, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and developing AI agents.
• Multimodality (VLM): Explore and implement Vision-Language (VLM) models for tasks that combine visual and textual data.
• Model Lifecycle: Manage the entire model lifecycle: from data collection and preprocessing, to training, to rigorous performance evaluation.
• Updating: Keep constantly updated on the latest research papers (e.g. CVPR, NeurIPS, ACL) and translate them into practical business opportunities.

Technical Requirements – Must Have Education

• Bachelor's degree (preferably Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of practical experience in Deep Learning (not just classic machine learning).
• Core Technology Stack: Python: Excellent knowledge and object-oriented programming.
• DL Framework: Deep and proven knowledge of - PyTorch (strong preference) and TensorFlow.
• AI Toolchain: Mastery of the Hugging Face ecosystem (Transformers, Datasets, Diffusers), data versioning, experimental tracking.
• Computer Vision: Experience with libraries (e.g. OpenCV, Pillow) and architectures (e.g. ResNet, YOLO, UNet, Vision Transformers - ViT ).
• NLP/LLM: Experience with Transformer architectures, fine-tuning techniques and RAG (e.g. LangChain , LlamaIndex).
• Engineering & MLOps (Basics): Excellent knowledge of Git.
• Experience with Docker for model containerization.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or Azure).

Nice to Have Experience

• Experience in Edge computing (C++, TensorRT)
• Experience with Vector Database.
