Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a software professional to join its Simulation Software Platform team in Italy. The role focuses on developing, maintaining and enhancing a strategic platform used to model cooling unit performance across the portfolio.

You will collaborate with Product Owner and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust software, dealing with legacy components and modern data access layers while contributing to long-term platform evolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development with OO programming.
• Experience maintaining legacy VB6/VB.NET/VB.NET/VB6 applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the software platform built with VB6, VB.NET and C#.
• Manage data access with Access, SQLite, and Entity Framework.
• Develop simulation models for cooling units and optimize algorithms.
• Design new features and validate numeric results for reliability.
• Gather requirements from Sales, R&D and other stakeholders.
