Job summary

Mercury, Milan-based leader in European construction solutions, seeks a Transport & Logistics Coordinator to support deliveries to construction sites, manage freight forwarding, and handle associated administrative tasks. You will work alongside the Transport Manager to ensure on-time, compliant movements and accurate data entry in SAP.

The role requires strong Excel/Office skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Essential: computer literacy and proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Solid analytical and organizational abilities with knowledge of freight forwarding and import procedures.
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Register deliveries in client software and internal logistics; liaise with suppliers and off-site manufacturing.
• Coordinate delivery and booking of sea containers to warehouse locations.
• Arrange customs clearance and ensure VAT and duties are paid with related documents.
• Collaborate with procurement to monitor interactions with suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Update transport activities, SAP and transport trackers; review supplier invoices.
• Create purchase requisitions and complete service entries/ goods receipts in SAP.
• Suggest improvements to transport and logistics processes.
• General office administration and other duties as assigned.
