Seqwater is seeking a Business Improvement Specialist to drive enterprise-wide process improvement and operational excellence. You will partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities, embed continuous improvement practices and implement sustainable solutions that deliver measurable benefits.

About Your Opportunity

As the Business Improvement Specialist, you will drive enterprise-wide process improvement and operational excellence, delivering measurable business outcomes that enhance efficiency, simplify ways of working, and support strategic objectives. You will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to identify improvement opportunities, embed continuous improvement practices, and implement sustainable solutions that strengthen performance and deliver lasting operational benefits.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead business improvement and transformation initiatives, translating strategic priorities into actionable plans that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Analyse, redesign and optimise end-to-end business processes to improve efficiency, standardisation, performance and value delivery.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, workshops and problem-solving activities to build alignment, commitment and successful adoption of change.
• Assist in the development of benefits realisation plans, including milestones, ownership, performance measures, and sustainability mechanisms, ensure identified improvements are translated into executable initiatives with clear accountability and measurable outcomes.
• Build organisational capability in continuous improvement, process management and operational excellence through coaching, tools and knowledge sharing.
• Assist the business areas to establish performance management disciplines that reinforce desired behaviours and outcomes as discrete projects or to embed outcomes of broader improvement work.
• Maintain and continuously enhance enterprise process architecture, ensuring visibility of end-to-end business processes, key interfaces, dependencies, and accountabilities.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-wide business improvement, transformation, operational excellence, or process optimisation initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead complex end-to-end process improvement and business transformation projects that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing performance management disciplines designed to improve team performance and outcomes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate strategically while managing detailed implementation activities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills, with experience applying structured improvement methodologies to achieve sustainable change.

This position will be offered on a full-time 12 month fixed term contract with a competitive salary, plus 12.75% superannuation.
