Job summary

Jumeirah Capri Palace is seeking a bartender to join the summer season 2027. The main duties include taking orders, mixing cocktails, serving beverages, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining hygiene standards in the bar.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of bartending experience in a luxury hospitality brand, is fluent in Italian and English, with a third language as an advantage, and holds food and alcohol handling certifications. The role requires professionalism and guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a luxury hospitality brand.
• Proficient in Italian and fluent in English; a third language is a plus.
• Knowledge of alcohol pairing and taste.
• Food and alcohol handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customers in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to Beverage Recipes.
• Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to defined standards.
• Ensures guests receive the correct order and that all drinks are prepared and served as agreed in SOPs.
• Maintains complete knowledge of cocktails, beverages and wines to advise guests and colleagues when necessary.
• Collects money for drinks served and processes financial transactions per cashiering procedures.
• Ensures stock is maintained at par levels and stored according to Food Hygiene Standards.
• Undertakes opening, closing & cleaning tasks as detailed on checklists.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date temperature records for fridge units within the bar during duty.
