Job summary

Bertrandt Group seeks a field-based engineer to support quality and logistics at Italian customer plants. You will participate in quality meetings, conduct inspections, and handle complaints for components and systems.

You will maintain records in SGAS, provide remote diagnostic support, and assist on cases where a Technical Resident is not regularly available, with Italian and English language skills required.

Qualifications

• Mother tongue Italian and knowledge of English.
• Knowledge of vehicle mechatronics (Common Rail Pump, Injectors, Fuel Pump).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 quality standards.
• Understanding of customer procedures in production plants.
• High school diploma in a technical field or equivalent.
• Driving license B or higher.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality and logistics issue support at specified customer plants in Italy, including participation in quality meetings, complaint handling, and product inspections.
• Provide specialized support for non‑compliant product analysis, component reprogramming, and functional testing at customer sites.
• Maintain detailed records of activities, including parts checked, time spent, and compliance results, documented in the SGAS system.
• Offer remote diagnostic support and problem‑solving assistance through a hotline service, ensuring effective communication and technical guidance.
• Provide technical support and complaint handling at customer plants not regularly supported by a Technical Resident (TR), especially during high demand or special projects.
