Anton Paar Italia seeks an Application Specialist to drive business development in the defense/aerospace and public safety sectors. You will extract key account data, perform market research, and map Anton Paar solutions to customer needs, including integrated offerings.

You will engage Sales and Marketing, promote the brand at industry events, and lead lead-generation efforts while traveling up to 50% of the time in Northern Italy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Experience in defense, aerospace and/or public safety sectors is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Use CRM to extract data related to key accounts within the assigned industry sector.
• Conduct market and trend research using AI, web, LinkedIn, etc.
• Maintain understanding of Anton Paar solutions for the assigned sector.
• Perform cold calling to engage with new accounts and identify new contacts.
• Analyze industrial processes of customers within the sector.
• Interview key accounts and opinion leaders and visit customers to build relationships.
• Identify Anton Paar solutions that best meet customer needs, including integrated solutions where appropriate.
• Engage Sales/Marketing to align opportunities and marketing initiatives.
• Promote scientific knowledge at industry events and trade shows as a speaker.
• Drive generation of new leads to support cross-selling.

Job Description

• Use the CRM to extract data related to key accounts within the assigned industry sector.
• Conduct market and trend research (AI, web, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Maintain a strong understanding of the range of solutions offered by Anton Paar for the assigned industry sector.
• Demonstrate the ability and willingness to perform cold calling activities in order to engage with new accounts and identify new contacts.
• Analyze the industrial processes of customers within the relevant application sector.
• Interview key accounts and opinion leaders, and visit customers while building relationships and networking with industry stakeholders.
• Identify the Anton Paar solutions that best meet customer needs, including integrated solutions where appropriate.
• Engage Sales and/or Marketing stakeholders to align them with identified business opportunities or marketing initiatives.
• Promote scientific knowledge and awareness of industrial applications (e.g., by participating in industry events and trade shows or acting as a speaker).
• Drive the generation of new leads to support cross-selling activities within the specific industry sector.

Qualifications

• Residence in Northern Italy is required, preferably in Lombardy or Lazio.
• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant scientific or engineering field. Preferred disciplines include: Aerospace Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferred 1-3 years of experience in the industry, with knowledge of the dynamics of the defense, aerospace, and/or public safety sectors. Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards is considered an asset.
• Willingness to travel (approximately 30-50% of the time).
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Effective and persuasive communication skills.
• Influential leadership skills, with the ability to guide internal stakeholders without direct hierarchical authority and align them toward shared market strategies.
• Strong public speaking skills, demonstrating confidence and effectiveness in presentations, industry events, and interactions with key stakeholders.
• Strong aptitude for building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Ability to work on strategic projects aimed at business development and continuous growth, thriving in dynamic and evolving environments.

• Italian Commerce Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Commercio). The expected gross annual salary range for this position is €25,000 - €35,000. The final compensation package will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and professional background.
