Job summary

Samrat Superbikes in Ghaziabad, a premier Yamaha dealership, seeks a Workshop Quality Supervisor to uphold high service standards. You will be the final gatekeeper ensuring every Yamaha motorcycle leaves the workshop in peak condition, aligning with the "Revs Your Heart" philosophy.

Responsibilities include final inspections, quality audits, diagnosing faults with Yamaha tools, maintaining the Workshop Quality Index, guiding technicians, and communicating with customers for a premium service

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of FI systems, BS6 tech and engine overhauling.
• Experience leading a team of technicians in a fast-paced setting.
• Driving license and capability to conduct motorcycle test rides.
• Familiarity with Yamaha service manuals and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct final inspections and road tests to meet Yamaha standards.
• Audit repairs and identify recurring errors or SOP lapses.
• Diagnose engine/electrical faults with Yamaha tools and guide juniors.
• Maintain WQI and ensure Right First Time delivery.
• Supervise tool calibration and workshop safety practices.
• Coordinate with Service Manager to plan training from audits.
• Explain repairs to customers and ensure premium service experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough final inspections and road tests on all serviced motorcycles to ensure compliance with Yamaha global service standards.
• Monitor and audit the quality of repairs performed by technicians, identifying recurring technical errors or lapses in SOPs.
• Diagnose complex engine and electrical faults using Yamaha diagnostic tools, providing technical guidance to junior mechanics.
• Maintain the Workshop Quality Index (WQI) by reducing repeat complaints and ensuring 'Right First Time' (RFT) delivery.
• Supervise the cleanliness and calibration of workshop tools and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager to identify training needs for the technical team based on quality audit findings.
• Interact with customers to explain technical repairs and resolve quality-related concerns, ensuring a premium service experience.

Requirements

• 2 to 6 years of experience in a workshop supervisory or quality control role, preferably with a reputed two-wheeler dealership.
• Diploma or ITI in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• In-depth technical knowledge of fuel injection (FI) systems, BS6 technology, and motorcycle engine overhauling.
• Valid two-wheeler driving license and proficiency in conducting motorcycle test rides.
• Familiarity with Yamaha's service manuals and technical protocols is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of managing a team of technicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Local residency in Ghaziabad or nearby NCR areas is an added advantage.
