Job summary

Sahyadri Auto in Indapur, Maharashtra, is seeking a Service Manager to lead the workshop and service operations. You will supervise technicians and support staff, drive targets for labour revenue, and ensure timely delivery of vehicles with high repair quality.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in automobile service and strong knowledge of service revenue, KPIs and customer satisfaction. Willingness to relocate to Indapur is required. MS Excel and dealership software experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in automobile service/workshop operations.
• Experience as a Service Manager / Workshop Manager / Service Advisor in a reputed dealership preferred.
• Experience with two-wheeler dealers (Royal Enfield an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Manage complete workshop/service operations and ensure smooth daily functioning.
• Lead, supervise and motivate the service team, technicians and support staff.
• Achieve workshop targets for labour revenue, service volume, customer retention and profitability.
• Monitor workshop productivity, technician efficiency and bay utilisation.
• Ensure high-quality repairs and timely delivery of vehicles to customers.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure quick and effective resolution.
• Monitor service quality, repeat repairs and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure proper job card, estimate, billing and warranty processes.
• Monitor spare parts consumption, inventory and coordination with the parts department.
• Ensure compliance with Royal Enfield service standards, processes and SOPs.
• Analyse workshop MIS and prepare regular performance reports.
• Coordinate with the OEM/service team and implement company initiatives.
• Ensure workshop cleanliness, safety, discipline and proper equipment utilisation.
• Drive service campaigns, customer follow-ups and retention activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 48 years of experience in automobile service/workshop operations.
• Experience as a Service Manager / Workshop Manager / Service Advisor in a reputed automobile dealership preferred.
• Experience with Royal Enfield or other two-wheeler dealerships will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of workshop operations, vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
• Good understanding of service revenue, productivity, customer satisfaction and workshop KPIs.
• Strong team leadership and people-management skills.
• Good communication, customer-handling and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable with MS Excel and dealership/service management software.
• Should be target-oriented, disciplined and capable of independently managing workshop operations.
• Candidate must be willing to relocate/shift to Indapur, Maharashtra.
