Wipro Summer Experience (WiSE) Program — GCP Cloud track for Java Spring Boot interns. 2-month structured program with extended internship options. Hyderabad, Bengaluru positions. Strong PPO conversion to Wipro Solutions Engineer.

The Wipro Summer Experience (WiSE) GCP track is part of Wipro FullStride Cloud, the umbrella organisation that manages all of Wipro's strategic cloud engagements. Wipro is a Google Cloud Premier Partner with growing enterprise GCP deployments in retail, telecom, and financial services — driving consistent demand for Java + GCP intern talent. Hyderabad's Wipro campus in the Financial District is one of the company's flagship engineering centres with substantial GCP practice depth. WiSE interns here work on real client engagements — typically mid‑migration from legacy systems to GCP‑deployed Spring Boot microservices — with senior Wipro engineers providing direct mentorship. The 2-month WiSE structure is intensive: week 1 is orientation and project briefing, weeks 2‑7 are deep project work, week 8 is the closing showcase. High‑performers are routinely invited to extend their internship to 4‑6 months, with corresponding pay increases and more substantial project ownership. PPO conversion rate to Wipro Solutions Engineer roles is high for WiSE participants who complete the full 8 weeks satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

WiSE GCP track intern typical responsibilities: Building Java backend services using Spring Boot 3.x — REST APIs with Spring Web, data access with Spring Data JPA against Cloud SQL (Postgres or MySQL), authentication with Spring Security + Google Identity Platform or Identity‑Aware Proxy. Containerising services with optimised multi‑stage Dockerfiles. Deploying to Cloud Run for serverless container hosting or GKE Autopilot for Kubernetes‑orchestrated workloads. Integrating with GCP managed services — Pub/Sub, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager. Writing Cloud Build CI/CD pipelines with lint, test, vulnerability scan, and progressive multi‑environment deployments. Writing Terraform modules for GCP infrastructure provisioning. Participating in daily standups, sprint reviews, and the WiSE concluding project showcase. Intern feedback and growth: weekly 1:1 with your assigned mentor, fortnightly review with the engineering manager, end‑of‑internship 360‑degree review. Performance feedback is concrete and structured — you know exactly where you stand and what to improve before the PPO decision.

Requirements

Currently pursuing B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech in CSE, IT, or related engineering disciplines — graduating in 2026 or 2027. Final‑year and pre‑final‑year students both eligible. CGPA 7.0+, no active backlogs. Solid Java fundamentals (Java 17 preferred), comfort with Spring Boot basics (REST controllers, JPA, application.yml configuration), familiarity with one cloud platform (GCP preferred but AWS or Azure acceptable). Git fluency, basic SQL, Linux command‑line basics. Bonus: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification, prior projects deployed to GCP free tier or with student credits, Docker fluency, GitHub portfolio with at least one full‑stack Spring Boot project. Legal and academic eligibility: you must be enrolled in an accredited Indian or recognised foreign university and present a no‑objection certificate from your institution for the internship period. Wipro sponsors visa and relocation support where applicable but most candidates from Hyderabad‑area institutions can attend from existing residence.
