Overview

Wipro Summer Experience (WiSE) — structured 2-month early-career program with deep Azure + DevOps + Java focus. Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune positions open. Strong PPO conversion to full-time Wipro Solutions Engineer roles.

Wipro’s Hyderabad campus in the Financial District is one of the company’s largest engineering centres, with deep Azure practice depth. Interns here get exposure to the Wipro FullStride Cloud practice — the umbrella organisation managing all of Wipro’s strategic cloud engagements with global enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Build or extend Spring Boot REST APIs for client engagements, with full test coverage using JUnit 5, Mockito, and Spring Test.
• Integrate services with Azure-hosted PostgreSQL or Azure SQL via Spring Data JPA, Azure Blob Storage for file handling, and Azure Service Bus for async messaging.
• Implement Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML or classic) for the client project: stage‑by‑stage build, test, container image creation (Docker), push to Azure Container Registry, and deploy to Azure App Service or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Write infrastructure‑as‑code in Bicep or Terraform for new cloud resources needed by the project.
• Pair‑program with a senior Wipro engineer on the same client codebase.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.
• Author documentation for handover and present the internship project at the WiSE concluding showcase.
• Engage in weekly 1:1s with the assigned mentor, fortnightly reviews with the engineering manager, and end‑of‑internship 360° review for performance feedback.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering – graduating 2026 or 2027. Final‑year students in their pre‑final summer break are the primary target.
• Core Java programming, Spring Boot exposure (basic REST API + Spring Data JPA), familiarity with at least one cloud platform (Azure strongly preferred).
• Git fluency, ability to read and write SQL queries, basic Linux command‑line.
• Bonus: Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) certification, prior projects deployed to Azure (even free tier), exposure to Docker containerisation, GitHub portfolio with at least one full‑stack project.
• Legal and academic eligibility: enrolled in an accredited Indian or recognised foreign university and present a no‑objection certificate from the institution for the internship period. Wipro sponsors visa and relocation support where applicable, but most candidates from Hyderabad‑area institutions can attend from existing residence.
