Capgemini is offering a Technology Internship focused on Google Cloud with placements in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune. Interns will design and implement Java backend services with Spring Boot, integrate with GCP services, and handle CI/CD pipelines. Strong performers may receive pre-placement offers as Software Engineers in India.
The internship spans 2-6 months and includes mentorship, feedback, and the potential for substantial hands-on experience that translates into full-time roles post-graduation.
Capgemini Technology Internship with GCP focus — 2-6 month placements building Spring Boot microservices on Google Cloud (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub). Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune positions. Strong PPO conversion to Capgemini Software Engineer.
Capgemini is a Google Cloud Premier Partner and one of the largest deployers of GCP infrastructure for enterprise clients globally. The company's growing GCP practice — particularly strong in retail, manufacturing, and financial services — drives steady demand for Java + GCP intern talent across its India campuses.
Hyderabad and Bengaluru are Capgemini's two largest GCP engineering centres in India. Interns join either client-aligned Cloud Platform Engineering teams (working on a specific enterprise customer's GCP migration) or the central Cloud Centre of Excellence (working on Capgemini's reusable GCP accelerators, internal frameworks, and reference architectures).
The internship runs 2-6 months depending on academic schedule. Longer 4-6 month engagements give interns time to take real feature ownership and ship production deployments to client GCP projects. PPO conversion rate is high (~40-60% for strong performers), with offers typically landing in the ₹3.5-5.5 LPA range for Capgemini Software Engineer roles.
Capgemini GCP track intern responsibilities: Designing and implementing Java backend services with Spring Boot 3.x for client engagements. Integrating with GCP managed services — Cloud SQL for relational data, Firestore for NoSQL, Pub/Sub for async messaging, Cloud Storage for blob data, Secret Manager for credentials, Cloud Logging + Cloud Monitoring for observability. Deploying services to Cloud Run (typical default for new intern-scale services) or GKE Autopilot for clusters that require multi-service orchestration. Writing Cloud Build CI/CD pipelines: lint, test, container scan, multi-stage deploys to dev/staging/production with traffic-splitting for canary rollouts. Provisioning infrastructure with Terraform using the google and google-beta providers, writing modules for IAM, networking (VPCs, Cloud NAT, Load Balancers), and managed services. Pair-programming with senior Capgemini Cloud Engineers. Authoring architecture decision records and project documentation. Presenting your work at the Capgemini Hyderabad intern showcase. Intern feedback and growth: weekly 1:1 with your assigned mentor, fortnightly review with the engineering manager, end-of-internship 360-degree review. Performance feedback is concrete and structured — you know exactly where you stand and what to improve before the PPO decision.
Pursuing B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/MBA-IT in CSE, IT, or related engineering disciplines — graduating in 2026 or 2027. CGPA 7.0+, no active backlogs. Strong Java fundamentals (Java 17 preferred), working knowledge of Spring Boot, familiarity with one cloud platform (GCP preferred but AWS or Azure depth equally valuable), Git fluency, basic SQL, basic Docker exposure. Bonus: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification, prior projects deployed to GCP, Cloud Build or other CI/CD experience, GitHub portfolio with at least one Spring Boot service deployed to a public cloud. Legal and academic eligibility: you must be enrolled in an accredited Indian or recognised foreign university and present a no-objection certificate from your institution for the internship period. Capgemini sponsors visa and relocation support where applicable but most candidates from Hyderabad-area institutions can attend from existing residence.
Why this internship matters for your career trajectory: This is a real software engineering position with real production-impact code review and feedback — not a 'tutorial-style' experience. By the end of the internship, you will have shipped code that real users depend on, written tests that gate production deployments, debugged a real production incident under guidance, and presented your work to senior engineers. This is the experience that converts a fresh graduate into a strong full-time hire. The cloud + DevOps + Spring Boot stack is the dominant Indian enterprise backend stack of 2026, and Capgemini's engineering culture is one of the best places in India to learn it at production scale. Pre-placement offer conversion is realistic for committed interns — meaning you can lock in your post-graduation role months before campus placement season.
Compensation includes monthly stipend in the range listed above, free meals at the campus cafeteria, free transportation (where applicable), access to Capgemini's internal learning platforms (LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, Pluralsight, A Cloud Guru, official Capgemini learning paths), mentorship, performance feedback, and a strong likelihood of converting to a full-time offer.
