Cloudsoftsol is offering an internship program in Cloud & DevOps focusing on Java Spring Boot engineers in Hyderabad. Interns will develop backend services, implement CI/CD pipelines, and gain exposure to real client codebases with structured performance feedback. The internship is designed for B.E./B.Tech students graduating in 2026 or 2027. A monthly stipend and benefits like meals and transportation will be provided.
This program promises meaningful experience and a strong likelihood of converting to a full-time position at TCS.
TCS Internship Program — Cloud & DevOps track for Java Spring Boot engineers. 2-6 month summer or winter internships. Hyderabad campus (TCS Synergy Park, Adibatla, Madhapur). Strong PPO conversion to TCS Assistant Systems Engineer at 3.5-4.5 LPA. TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) is India's largest IT services company and operates the country's largest internship pipeline through both its formal Internship Program and the TCS NextStep portal. The Cloud & DevOps Track is a specific stream within the broader internship program designed for B.E./B.Tech students with strong Java foundations and cloud/DevOps curiosity. TCS’s Hyderabad presence is enormous — TCS Synergy Park in Gachibowli is one of the world’s largest IT campuses (15,000+ engineers), plus the TCS Adibatla campus and several Madhapur facilities. Together they handle Azure cloud migrations for some of TCS’s largest global banking, insurance, and life-sciences clients. Cloud & DevOps track interns get exposure to these real client codebases under heavy supervision. The track is intentionally biased toward production-style work over hypothetical projects: by week 2, you’re typically deploying your own Spring Boot microservice to an Azure development environment, with a TCS engineer guiding code review and architectural decisions. The pace is demanding but the learning curve is the steepest of any Indian IT internship.
As a Cloud & DevOps track intern at TCS, your specific responsibilities depend on the client engagement you’re attached to, but generally include: developing Java backend services with Spring Boot 3.x — REST APIs, Spring Data JPA with Azure SQL or PostgreSQL, Spring Security with OAuth2 for authentication; containerising these services with Docker, writing efficient multi‑stage Dockerfiles, and pushing images to Azure Container Registry; implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps Pipelines: linting, unit tests, container builds, security scans (with tools like Trivy or Aqua), and multi‑environment deployments; writing Infrastructure‑as‑Code in Bicep or Terraform for AKS clusters, Azure SQL servers, Application Gateways, and Key Vault secrets; participating in TCS‑specific learning paths through TCS Elevate platform, including Azure Fundamentals modules; attending weekly tech talks from TCS’s senior Cloud Solution Architects; presenting your internship work at the closing review; receiving intern feedback and growth: weekly 1:1 with your assigned mentor, fortnightly review with the engineering manager, end‑of‑internship 360‑degree review. Performance feedback is concrete and structured — you know exactly where you stand and what to improve before the PPO decision.
Pursuing B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech in CSE, IT, or allied engineering disciplines — graduating in 2026 or 2027. CGPA typically 7.0+ (some teams accept 6.5+ for strong portfolios). No active backlogs. Strong Java fundamentals (Java 11+ or Java 17+ both accepted), comfort with Spring Boot basics, familiarity with one cloud platform (Azure strongly preferred). Comfort with Git, basic SQL, basic Linux. Strong communication in English (required for client‑facing work). Bonus: AZ‑900 certification or equivalent, GitHub with deployable Spring Boot projects, Docker exposure, prior project work using Azure free tier or student credits. Legal and academic eligibility: you must be enrolled in an accredited Indian or recognised foreign university and present a no‑objection certificate from your institution for the internship period. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) sponsors visa and relocation support where applicable but most candidates from Hyderabad‑area institutions can attend from existing residence.
Why this internship matters for your career trajectory: This is a real software engineering position with real production‑impact code review and feedback — not a "tutorial‑style" experience. By the end of the internship, you will have shipped code that real users depend on, written tests that gate production deployments, debugged a real production incident under guidance, and presented your work to senior engineers. This is the experience that converts a fresh graduate into a strong full‑time hire. The cloud + DevOps + Spring Boot stack is the dominant Indian enterprise backend stack of 2026, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)’s engineering culture is one of the best places in India to learn it at production scale. Pre‑placement offer conversion is realistic for committed interns — meaning you can lock in your post‑graduation role months before campus placement season.
Compensation includes monthly stipend in the range listed above, free meals at the campus cafeteria, free transportation (where applicable), access to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)’s internal learning platforms (LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, Pluralsight, A Cloud Guru, official Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) learning paths), mentorship, performance feedback, and a strong likelihood of converting to a full‑time offer.
