Job summary

the Sleep Company is seeking a dispatch operations professional to manage daily outbound dispatch activities and ensure accurate, timely fulfillment from the warehouse.

You will review orders, coordinate packing, and liaise with billing and transport teams while maintaining strict accuracy and efficiency across all dispatch tasks.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, dispatch, logistics, or outbound operations.
• Good knowledge of SAP / WMS.
• Understanding of sales orders, STO, picking, packing, invoicing, E-way Bill, and dispatch processes.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and daily MIS reporting.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple dispatch priorities under pressure.
• Knowledge of vehicle loading and basic logistics operations.
• Strong attention to detail to avoid wrong or short dispatches.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily outbound dispatch operations as per the dispatch plan and priority.
• Review sales orders / STO / dispatch plans and coordinate order fulfilment.
• Ensure accurate SKU-wise picking as per system/order requirement.
• Verify picked quantity, SKU, size, model, and destination before packing.
• Ensure proper packing, labelling, and segregation of material before dispatch.
• Coordinate with the billing/invoicing team for invoice, E-way Bill, delivery challan, and other required documents.
• Ensure 100% physical vs. system quantity verification before vehicle loading.
• Plan and coordinate vehicle placement based on volume, destination, and dispatch priority.
• Ensure proper vehicle loading, stacking, securing, and utilization of vehicle capacity.
• Monitor vehicle reporting, loading completion, dispatch, and departure TAT.
• Ensure no wrong SKU, short quantity, excess quantity, or wrong destination material is dispatched.
• Complete required SAP/WMS transactions for picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Track pending orders and ensure dispatch within the defined TAT/SLA.
• Coordinate with transporters and logistics teams for vehicle availability and route planning.
• Monitor RTO/returns, undelivered shipments, shortages, and damages and coordinate for closure.
• Maintain daily dispatch MIS covering orders received, picked, packed, dispatched, pending, and ageing.
• Investigate dispatch discrepancies and prepare RCA for wrong/short/excess dispatches.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse SOP, 5S, safety, and loading standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing dispatch-related documents and transaction records.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Sales, Transport, Finance, Inventory, and Warehouse teams for smooth dispatch operations.
