Job summary

Engex Power in Chennai is seeking a technically savvy sales professional to generate leads and promote hydraulic cylinders to OEMs, construction equipment makers and other industries. You will assess customer needs, recommend cylinder specifications and prepare compelling technical offers and quotations.

You will coordinate with design and production teams to ensure feasible drawings, schedule delivery, and support customers with technical queries and after-sales service.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of technical sales experience in hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic systems or fluid power.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and hydraulic circuits.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads and promote hydraulic cylinders to OEMs, construction equipment makers, material handling, steel, sugar and other industrial customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend the right cylinder specifications (bore, stroke, pressure, mounting, sealing).
• Prepare technical offers, quotations and commercial proposals, and follow up to close orders.
• Coordinate with design, application engineering and production teams on drawings, feasibility and delivery schedules.
• Handle customer technical queries, site visits, and after-sales or field-failure support.
• Maintain and grow existing accounts, and develop new customers in the assigned territory.
• Negotiate pricing and payment terms, and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Track competitor products, pricing and market trends.
• Prepare sales reports, order-booking status and enquiry pipeline updates for management.
• Ensure timely payment collection from customers.
