Job summary

Bright Tech Automation in Pune is seeking a procurement professional to prepare and send RFQs, collect quotations, and prepare POs based on approved requirements.

You will follow up on material availability, coordinate with Production, Design, Stores, Project and Accounts, maintain vendor records, assist price negotiations, ensure delivery requirements are met, and support MIS reports and daily/weekly updates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send RFQs / enquiries to approved and new vendors.
• Collect and compare vendor quotations, prices, lead times, and payment terms.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
• Follow up with vendors for material availability and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Production, Design, Stores, Project, and Accounts departments for purchase requirements.
• Maintain Purchase Requisition (PR), PO, quotation, and vendor records.
• Coordinate with Stores for material receipt and shortages/quality issues.
• Follow up with vendors for pending, delayed, or rejected materials.
• Support vendor development by identifying and communicating with new suppliers.
• Maintain updated vendor database and purchase tracking sheet.
• Assist in price negotiation with vendors for regular and project requirements.
• Check material specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements before placing orders.
• Ensure purchase activities are completed as per project/manufacturing priorities.
• Support the Purchase/Procurement Lead in MIS reports and daily/weekly purchase updates.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all purchase activities.
