Job summary

MALABAR GOLD & DIAMONDS in Mumbai seeks a proactive HR professional to partner with business leaders and drive people strategy for the region. You will help with manpower planning, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement to support growth and retention.

The role requires close collaboration with HR COE teams, store leaders, and regional stakeholders to implement HR initiatives, ensure compliance, and enable a positive employee experience across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Manpower Planning: Understand the workforce needs of the function in the region; liaise with the HRBP and Talent Acquisition Coe to meet the requirements.
  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with Business / Functional Heads to understand the respective Business / Functions strategic goals and people agenda for financial year; align the priorities of the Business with the HR function
  • Work closely with the Business Leaders to understand their unique challenges and assist in curating appropriate HR solutions, in conjunction with the CoE (Center of Excellence) Heads
  • Work closely with people managers to identify hi-potential employees and implement plans to fast track their progress in order to motive and retain them.
  • Support business / functional leaders in identifying critical roles and developing the succession pool to build the internal talent pipeline for key positions.
  • Onboarding: Do and ensure the process of conducting induction and onboarding programs for employees in the region, as may be required
  • Training & Development: Actively liaise with people managers in the region to understand the developmental areas and training needs of employees; suggest suitable training programs to the HR BP and L&D CoE for inclusion in the training calendar.
  • PMS: Assist the functional leaders and managers in the performance management process such as maintaining clear documentation of goals (KPIs), facilitating the appraisals, moderation conversations, etc.
  • Provide required information to functional leaders in the region for determining employee increments and promotions.
  • Employee Engagement: Support the functional leaders in the region in implementing recognition programs to enable employees to remain engaged and motivated.
  • Conduct employee engagement activities to improve employee experience across the region.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee queries and elevate issues to senior management as and when required
  • Provide support to management and employees on HR related issues
  • HR MIS: To collate data and generate MIS reports accurately as per the unit requirements.
  • Statutory Compliance: Monitor adherence to standard labour laws and guidelines.
  • Liaise with MHQ statutory team to address & resolve queries arising from the respective region.
  • Separation: Conduct exit interview to help the function identify the key reasons for attrition in the region and determine ways to overcome the same
  • Payroll: Monitor the attendance regularization of employees and execute payroll process by ensuring that the salary pay out of the units happen within the specified TAT.
  • Branch Support: Coordinate deputation activities in consultation with the Store Heads and arrange staffs for special duty as per store requirements.
  • Ensure that HR activities assigned are performed as per the existing company HR policies and norms.
  • Ensure active participation in HR initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
