The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with familiarity in handling guest queries, feedback and complaints, and coordinating with front-of-house teams to ensure excellent service.

Qualifications

About the Role

STAQX is looking for a confident, presentable and guest-focused professional to join our Front of House team in a Guest Relations Executive or Guest Relations Manager capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, experience handling guests in a restaurant or bar environment, and the ability to create a welcoming and memorable guest experience. The final designation will depend on the candidate's experience and suitability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, manage reservations and coordinate seating arrangements.
• Build positive guest relationships and ensure a smooth, personalised dining experience.
• Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally, resolving concerns wherever possible.
• Coordinate with the Captain, service, bar and management teams to ensure seamless guest service.
• Assist with VIP guest handling, special occasions, guest preferences and repeat-customer engagement.
• Maintain awareness of restaurant operations, table availability, reservations and guest flow.Support guest engagement and contribute to a positive atmosphere throughout the restaurant.
• Maintain professional grooming, service standards and effective communication with guests and colleagues.
• For managerial-level candidates, oversee guest relations operations, guide the guest-facing team and ensure consistent service standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in guest relations, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, lounges or bars is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and guest-handling skills.
• Good grooming, a confident personality and a professional approach.
• Ability to handle guest concerns calmly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservations, guest preferences and bar operations is an advantage.
• Candidates with leadership experience and the ability to manage guest relations independently will be considered for the GRM position.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including late-night shifts, as per operational requirements.
