Job summary

P L Tandon is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage GeM (Government e-Marketplace) activities. You will handle the GeM portal on a day-to-day basis, search and evaluate relevant bids, tenders and e-tenders, and prepare technical and financial bids.

You will maintain a bid tracker, monitor deadlines, coordinate orders and post-bid activities, ensure compliance with tender requirements, and continuously identify opportunities to grow the company's government/GeM business.

Qualifications

• 14 years of experience in GeM, government tendering, e-tendering, procurement or bid management.
• Hands-on experience with the GeM portal.
• Understanding GeM bidding, reverse auctions, government tenders and e-procurement portals.
• Experience in preparing and submitting technical and financial bids.
• Strong understanding of tender terms, eligibility criteria, technical specifications and compliance requirements.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and PDF/document handling.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates from laboratory equipment, scientific equipment, medical equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, industrial equipment or similar B2B industries will be preferred.
• Graduate in any discipline; candidates with experience in procurement, commerce, business administration or related fields will be preferred.
• Immediate joiners / candidates with short notice period preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a database/tracker of submitted bids, tender status, deadlines, results and orders.

• Monitor tender corrigenda, amendments, clarifications and submission deadlines.
• Coordinate GeM orders, bids, reverse auctions and order-related activities.
• Handle post-bid activities including clarification responses, order processing and required documentation.
• Ensure complete compliance with tender requirements and avoid technical/commercial disqualification.
• Maintain proper records of all tender documents, bids and correspondence.
• Continuously identify opportunities to increase the company's government/GeM business.
