ACETECH GROUP OF COMPANIES is seeking skilled CNC VMC & VTL setters for our Production team in Coimbatore. Candidates should have hands-on experience in machine setting, tool selection, offset setting, and production activities in a precision engineering environment.

ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required with 3–8+ years of hands-on CNC VMC or VTL experience. Join a team focused on quality, efficiency, and safe shop floor practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setting and setup for CNC VMC and VTL machines.
• Select and set cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
• Set tool offsets, work offsets, and machining parameters.
• Read and interpret drawings, job specs, and tolerances.
• Ensure first-piece inspection and coordinate with Quality for approval.
• Monitor operations and maintain quality standards.
• Troubleshoot setting-related issues and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and Maintenance to meet targets.
• Follow 5S, safety procedures and quality standards on shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setting and setup activities for CNC VMC and VTL machines.
• Select and set appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
• Set and adjust tool offsets, work offsets, and machining parameters.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, job specifications, and tolerances.
• Ensure first‑piece inspection and coordinate with the Quality team for approval.
• Monitor machining operations and maintain required quality standards.
• Troubleshoot setting‑related issues and minimize machine downtime.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
• Follow 5S, safety procedures, and quality standards on the shop floor.

Eligibility Criteria

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• 3–8+ years of hands‑on experience in CNC VMC or VTL machine setting.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, measuring instruments, and machining processes.
• Ability to handle setting activities independently and ensure component quality.
• Experience in a precision engineering or machine shop environment is preferred.
