Job summary

Hinduja Tech in India seeks a Development Engineer for Plastic Parts with 5–8 years of CATIA experience to support exterior trims such as bumper and wheel arch liners. You will create CAD geometry and drawings and ensure manufacturing feasibility.

You will coordinate with manufacturing suppliers and plant QA, driving design to meet program timelines. Diploma or BE is required; notice is immediate to 30 days.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical/Automotive engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in CAD for automotive parts.
• CATIA software experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD geometry and drawings for various projects.
• Develop front and rear exterior trim parts (e.g., bumper, wheel arch liners).
• Ensure data is up to date and reflects required maturity levels.
• Provide CAD support and drive design progress per program timelines.
• Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts and resolve issues with suppliers and plant QA.

Position details :

• This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various projects.
• Person will be responsible for: Front and rear end exterior trims parts (e.g. Front and rear bumper, wheel claddings, wheel arch liners, bumper foam, Air deflectors (upper, lower & sides) etc.
• Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
• Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence
• Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
• Discuss & resolve all open points with manufacturing supplier, align with plant quality & pilot hall
