Job summary

Wave Mechanics in Bengaluru requires a skilled CNC Turn-Mill technician to set up and operate Turn-Mill centers in daily production.

You will read engineering drawings, select tooling, verify programs and perform first-piece inspection while maintaining quality, cycle times and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CNC Turn-Mill machine setting.
• Familiar with Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi controls.
• Understanding of G&M codes and CNC programs.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts and machining parameters.
• Ability to use Vernier, Micrometre, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Turn-Mill machines per production requirements.
• Perform fixture, chuck, tool and component setting.
• Set tool offsets, work offsets, geometry and wear offsets.
• Load, verify and prove out CNC programs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts and machining parameters.
• Carry out turning, milling, drilling, tapping, boring, grooving and related operations.
• Perform first-piece inspection and offset corrections.
• Monitor dimensional accuracy, surface finish and tool condition.
• Troubleshoot machining problems such as tool wear, vibration, chatter, dimensional variation and tool breakage.
• Maintain required production quantity, quality and cycle time.
• Minimize rejection, rework and machine downtime.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Maintain setup sheets, inspection records and other production documents.
• Follow 5S, safety procedures and standard operating instructions.

Preferred Candidate

• ITI/Diploma Mechanical / BE-Mechanical + 36 years of experience in CNC Turn-Mill setting NPD and production.
