Job summary

M/S Mil Industries & Aerospace Limited is seeking a skilled CNC operator to perform complete job setting on CNC Turning Centre and VMC as per process sheets and drawings. You will load programs, set offsets, prove first pieces, and monitor tool wear, ensuring adherence to 5S and safety norms.

Candidates should have ITI Turner/Machinist/Fitter or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with immediate joiner availability preferred. Join in a fast-paced environment focused on daily production targets.

Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma with relevant hands-on experience on CNC machines.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Experience in first-piece and in-process inspection using basic metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Turning Centre / VMC as per process sheets and drawings.
• Load programs, set work and tool offsets, and prove first-piece components.
• Select, mount and align tools; monitor wear and replace inserts as needed.
• Read drawings, GD&T symbols, and process sheets accurately.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with vernier, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge.
• Make minor Fanuc edits for dimension corrections.
• Strive to meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and 5S standards.
• Record production and quality data in log sheets or MIS formats.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Perform complete job setting on CNC Turning Centre / VMC as per process sheet and drawing
• Load programs, set work offsets and tool offsets, and prove out first-piece components
• Select, mount, and set tools; monitor tool wear and replace inserts as required
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and process sheets
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspection using vernier, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, and other measuring instruments
• Make minor program edits (Fanuc control) for dimension correction
• Achieve daily production targets.
• Follow 5S, safety norms, and preventive maintenance schedules (daily CLIT checks)
• Record production and quality data in log sheets / MIS formats
