Job summary

Foxconn in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is seeking a CNC Machining Operator with 0-1 years of experience to produce components from drawings, while maintaining quality and safety on the shop floor.

The role involves operating CNC milling and turning machines, basic setup, reading drawings, and working in night shifts. The position offers hands-on learning in a busy production environment with strict adherence to 5S and SOPs.

ITI/NAC certification preferred; training provided on equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• ITI/NAC certification in CNC Machining / Machinist / Fitter / Turner or related trades.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machine operation (Milling and/or Turning).
• Understanding of cutting tools, basic tooling concepts, machining processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and basic GD&T.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments.
• Willingness to work in night shifts and on the shop floor environment.
• Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.
• Good discipline, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
• Before taking leave, the candidate must inform to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling and/or CNC turning machines as per approved programs and setup sheets.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
• Perform basic machine setup such as work offset setting, tool loading, and tool offset setting under guidance.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and job instructions.
• Monitor machining processes and ensure components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and gauges as required.
• Identify and report machine abnormalities such as tool wear, breakage, abnormal noise, vibration, or surface finish issues.Identify the basic tools like, Turning tool, Facing tool, Grooving tool. and Types of End mill, Spot drill and Drills.
• Perform minor corrections in offsets (X/Z/Wear offsets) as permitted by work instructions.
• Maintain production records, inspection reports, and log sheets accurately.
• Follow all safety, 5S, and company standard operating procedures at all times.
• Support supervisors, programmers, and maintenance teams during changeovers and troubleshooting.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, jigs, fixtures, and components.
