Trukky is seeking an experienced Transport Manager/Traffic Manager with 3–7 years in FTL logistics to manage inbound enquiries, convert them into bookings, and coordinate vehicle placement through a strong local network. You will handle clients, negotiate rates and ensure timely shipment execution across Bengaluru and South India.

The role requires deep FTL knowledge, a solid truck-owner network, and proficiency with logistics software.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in road transport or logistics.
• Experience as Transport Manager or Traffic Manager in an FTL company preferred.
• Strong understanding of FTL, rates, routes and market dynamics.
• Active network of truck owners and brokers in Bengaluru and South India.
• Good sales, negotiation and client management skills.

Role Description

Trukky is looking for an experienced Transport Manager / Traffic Manager with prior experience in a Full Truck Load (FTL) transport company.

The role involves managing inbound freight enquiries, converting enquiries into bookings, handling clients, arranging vehicles through a strong market network, and ensuring reliable shipment execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the FTL segment and an established network of truck owners and brokers across LCV, Container and Taurus vehicle segments, particularly in Bengaluru and other South Indian markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Inbound Enquiries & Sales: Manage freight enquiries, negotiate rates, follow up with prospects and maximise enquiry-to-booking conversion.


• Client Management: Understand customer requirements, provide timely updates and build strong client relationships.


• Vehicle Placement: Arrange suitable vehicles through a direct network of truck owners, fleet operators and transport brokers.


• FTL Market Expertise: Understand freight rates, vehicle availability, route dynamics and market conditions across LCV, Container and Taurus segments.


• Transporter Network: Leverage and expand an established network across Bengaluru and other South Indian markets.


• Shipment Execution: Coordinate vehicle placement, loading and transit updates while resolving operational issues promptly.


• Service Delivery: Ensure timely vehicle placement, reliable shipment execution and adherence to company SLAs.


• Business Targets: Take ownership of booking conversion, business volume and operational performance targets.


• Technology & Reporting: Use Trukky's digital platforms, spreadsheets and logistics tools to manage enquiries, bookings and shipment status.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3–7( Max) years of experience in a road transport or logistics company.


• Prior experience as a Transport Manager or Traffic Manager with an FTL transport company is strongly preferred.


• Very good understanding of the Full Truck Load (FTL) segment.


• Strong, active network of direct truck owners and brokers across LCV, Container and Taurus segments.


• Experience handling inbound freight enquiries, client relationships and market-based vehicle placement.


• Good sales, negotiation and follow-up skills.


• Clear communication skills with basic working English.


• Target-oriented, with a strong focus on conversion and service delivery.


• Tech-friendly and comfortable using digital platforms and logistics software.


• Strong coordination, problem-solving and execution skills.
