Job summary

PBL Surat is seeking an experienced Traffic Executive to manage heavy vehicle and trailer operations, local vehicle placement, and broker logistics. The role requires coordinating vehicle availability, negotiating market rates, and ensuring smooth, on-time transportation for ODC and FTL cargo.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in traffic operations, strong knowledge of freight markets, and proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Transport Management Systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; logistics qualification is an added advantage.
• 3–8 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Traffic Operations, or Fleet Coordination.
• Strong knowledge of market freight rates, local vehicle sourcing, and broker management.
• Hands-on experience in ODC & FTL transportation operations.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and place local market vehicles (trailers, cranes, tippers, trucks, hydraulic axles, etc.) based on customer requirements.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates with brokers and transport vendors.
• Maintain a strong network of transport brokers, fleet owners, and vehicle suppliers.
• Source vehicles from the local market to meet urgent operational requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, operations teams, drivers, brokers, and vendors for timely vehicle placement.
• Monitor vehicle movement and ensure on-time loading, dispatch, transit, and delivery.
• Handle transportation planning for ODC and FTL shipments.
• Ensure timely completion of loading and unloading activities by coordinating with site teams.
• Verify transportation documents, including permits, e-way bills, invoices, PODs, gate passes, and other statutory documents.
• Maintain daily records of vehicle placement, freight rates, broker payments, and operational updates.
• Resolve transportation issues, delays, and vehicle shortages to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Keep track of market freight trends and provide updates on transportation rates.

Job Description

Requirements
