About the Role
Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Manager - Training to lead student training initiatives and enhance employability outcomes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, and monitoring comprehensive training programs focused on soft skills, leadership development, management competencies, and industry readiness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Strategy & Program Delivery
- Design, develop, and deliver high-impact training programs focused on:
- Soft Skills
- Communication Skills
- Leadership Development
- Management Competencies
- Employability and Professional Skills
- Identify student learning requirements and align training interventions with institutional objectives and industry expectations.
- Ensure effective implementation of training methodologies grounded in adult learning principles.
2. Training Planning & Calendar Management
- Create and manage a comprehensive annual training calendar covering all student batches and academic phases.
- Develop structured training roadmaps with clearly defined learning objectives, timelines, and outcomes.
- Coordinate the end-to-end execution of training programs, ensuring smooth delivery across departments and student cohorts.
3. Training Operations & Database Management
- Maintain and manage a centralized training database, including:
- Training schedules
- Student attendance records
- Assessment scores
- Progress tracking
- Training completion records
- Ensure data accuracy, timely updates, and availability of actionable reports for stakeholders.
4. Vendor & Partner Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard training partners, consultants, and external vendors across diverse domains based on institutional requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with training providers to ensure quality delivery and value addition.
- Manage vendor performance through regular reviews and feedback mechanisms.
5. Assessment, Analytics & Reporting
- Conduct periodic assessments to measure student learning outcomes and training effectiveness.
- Analyze performance data to identify competency gaps and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Prepare detailed analytical reports and dashboards on participation, performance, training outcomes, and program effectiveness.
- Present insights and recommendations to institutional leadership for informed decision-making.
6. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Collect and evaluate feedback from students, trainers, and stakeholders after each training intervention.
- Measure training effectiveness using established evaluation frameworks and performance indicators.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance learning outcomes and program quality.
7. Budget & Administrative Management
- Oversee training logistics and operational coordination.
- Manage commercial negotiations with vendors and training partners.
- Monitor training budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
- Coordinate invoicing, payment processing, and related administrative activities in compliance with institutional policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 2 to 6 years of experience in Training Management, Learning & Development, Talent Development, Student Training, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering impactful training programs with measurable outcomes.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design frameworks
- Experience in managing training operations, vendors, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
