Assistant Manager Training & Learning
Reporting To: Senior Manager Talent Acquisition, Training & Operations
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Needs Analysis & Planning
- Conduct Training Needs Identication (TNI/TNA) across plants and corporate functions.
- Engage with functional and plant leadership to identify current and future capability
requirements.
- Prepare the Annual Training Calendar aligned with business priorities, competency
requirements and employee development plans.
- Map training interventions against competency frameworks and job roles.
- Identify critical skill gaps in technical, functional, behavioural and leadership capabilities.
2. Training Program Management
- Plan and execute training programs for Pan India plants and corporate.
- Manage internal trainers, SMEs, external consultants and training partners.
- Coordinate classroom, shop-oor, on-the-job, e-learning and blended learning programs.
- Develop structured learning journeys for GETs, Management Trainees, Supervisors and Emerging Leaders.
3. Leadership & Behavioural Development
- Drive programs for rst-time managers, supervisors and emerging leaders.
- Develop interventions around people management, conict management, decision making, change management.
- Support succession and talent development initiatives through targeted learning programs.
4. Learning Governance & Compliance
- Ensure training records and documentation are maintained accurately.
- Maintain competency and skill matrices for relevant functions.
- Monitor mandatory, statutory and compliance-related training.
- Support internal and external audits relating to training and competency.
- Establish standard processes and governance for training across locations.
5. Learning Content & Digital Learning
- Create and curate training content, presentations, assessments and learning resources.
- Promote digital learning and self-learning initiatives.
- Build a repository of SOP-based and role-based learning modules.
- Explore innovative learning methodologies such as simulations, gamication, micro-learning and blended learning.
6. Vendor & Budget Management
- Identify and evaluate external training partners.
- Coordinate commercial negotiations and vendor onboarding in line with company processes.
- Track the L&D budget and ensure eective utilisation.
- Evaluate external programs based on quality, relevance and business impact.
7. Employee Development & Career Capability
- Partner with HR and business leaders to support Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Link learning interventions with performance management and career development.
- Support competency-based development and internal mobility initiatives.
- Identify high-potential employees and facilitate targeted development interventions.
Candidate Prole
Education
- MBA / PGDM in HR / Learning & Development preferred.
- Graduate degree in any relevant discipline.
Experience
- 47 years of experience in Learning & Development / Training, preferably within automotive,
auto components, engineering or manufacturing.
- Experience working with plant/manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.**
