CIEL HR is seeking a Head of Learning and Development to provide strategic leadership and oversee the L&D function across stores, corporate offices, regional teams, and other locations. You will shape learning strategies, identify development needs, and ensure measurable impact on performance and business outcomes.

The role requires 10+ years in L&D, strong leadership, and experience in managing large, multi-location programs, with proficiency in instructional design, LMS, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
• MBA / Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications in Learning & Development, Training, Instructional Design, Coaching, or related areas will be an advantage.

Role & responsibilities

The Head Learning and Development is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall

direction to the Learning and Development function of Ltd. The role oversees the

development and execution of organization-wide learning strategies, ensuring that employees across

stores, corporate functions, regional teams, and other locations have the required knowledge, skills, and

capabilities to achieve business objectives. The role builds upon the Manager Learning and

Development function, which covers learning strategy, training needs analysis, curriculum development,

training delivery, leadership development, technology integration, vendor management, performance

evaluation, and budget management.

The position leads the overall L&D portfolio through the Manager – Learning and Development and

ensures effective functioning of the wider L&D team comprising Assistant Managers – Learning and

Development, Senior/Executive – Instructional Design, Business Coaches, Product Coaches, Training

Coordination and other L&D resources. The role partners with senior management and functional heads

to build a continuous learning culture and ensure measurable impact of learning initiatives on employee

performance and business outcomes.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
• MBA / Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business

Administration, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant professional certifications in Learning & Development, Training, Instructional Design,

Coaching, or related areas will be an advantage.

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Training, Organizational

Development, Capability Development, or a related function.

• Experience in leading an organization-wide L&D function in a large, multi-location organization is

preferred.

• Experience in retail, consumer electronics, mobile, consumer electrical, FMCG, or another large

frontline workforce environment will be an advantage.

• Proven experience in managing large L&D teams and multiple learning programmes

simultaneously.

• Experience in leadership development, instructional design, digital learning, LMS, external trainer

management, and training evaluation is preferred.

• Strong experience in working with senior management and functional/business heads.
