Job summary

Konecranes India, based in Pune, is seeking a Trainee for Global IT Technical Support. You will support IT service requests, incident management, UAT, and project activities, working with global teams to ensure timely resolution.

Ideal candidates have a B.E./B.Tech or related degree and 0–1 year experience in a Windows environment, with strong communication and a service mindset. Training and growth opportunities are offered at SP Infocity, Hadapsar, Pune.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–1 years of experience in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• IT Request Management: handle IT service requests via ticketing tool and follow up until resolution.
• Incident Assessment & Escalation: evaluate severity, impact and escalate to L2/L3 when needed.
• Process & Policy Compliance: adhere to IT processes and policies to maintain quality.
• Project Support: assist IT projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Problem Identification: analyze incidents to find recurring issues.
• UAT Support: assist during User Acceptance Testing phases.
• ISO Standards Awareness: follow ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 applicable to IT ops.

Global IT Technical Support Team Member

Global IT Technical Support Team Member is part of the Global IT Service Delivery team that provides Technical and Software distribution services globally 24* 7 in English.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Request Management: Handle all IT service requests logged via the IT ticketing tool, including classification, approval routing, assignment to L2/L3 support, and follow-up until resolution.
• Incident Assessment & Escalation: Evaluate severity, impact, and risk of incidents. Escalate to appropriate L2/L3 teams when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
• Process & Policy Compliance: Adhere to established IT processes and policies during daily operations to maintain service quality and compliance.
• Project Support: Participate in IT project activities as assigned, ensuring timely execution and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Problem Identification: Analyze incoming incidents to identify recurring issues or problem areas and communicate findings to relevant teams.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Provide support during UAT phases to ensure smooth testing and feedback collection.
• ISO Standards Awareness: Maintain awareness of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards as applicable to IT operations.

The role is based in our office in SP Infocity, Hadapsar, Pune.

Qualifications & Experience required to succeed in this role

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field .
• Professional Experience: 0–1 years of experience in a Windows environment.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Good understanding of operating systems, networks, and applications
• Familiarity with mobile OS (iOS, Android, Windows)
• Knowledge of SCCM is an advantage
• Customer service–oriented mindset
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and share knowledge
• Basic understanding of ITIL practices preferred
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Flexibility to work in a 24x7 shift environment
• Exposure to automation tools
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Experience in developing or supporting scalable AI tools is a plus
