Job summary

Prashar Road Carriers Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Traffic Manager to lead daily fleet operations and optimize transportation costs while ensuring service quality.

You will coordinate with transporters, fleet owners, brokers, drivers, and customers for vehicle availability, deployment planning, and on-time delivery across PAN India. Strong negotiation, coordination and Excel/MIS skills are required.

Qualifications

• Candidate should be 10th pass or graduate in any discipline; logistics/supply chain qualifications are preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience as Traffic Manager.
• Experience in a transport company, 3PL, or logistics org handling PAN India movements.
• Good network of transporters and brokers for trucks, containers, and trailers.
• Strong negotiation, coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, transportation MIS, and ERP/TMS systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple vehicle placements and tight delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Get very competitive freight rates quickly and optimize costs while maintaining service quality.
• Coordinate with transporters, fleet owners, brokers, drivers, and customers for timely vehicle availability.
• Manage daily fleet operations, vehicle placement and dispatch planning for FTL and PTL.
• Plan vehicle deployment for PAN India movements and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Monitor vehicle tracking, transit status, and POD.
• Handle vehicle breakdowns, delays, detention and other issues.
• Maintain MIS reports for vehicle placement, freight costs, delivery performance, and transporter payments.
• Ensure proper documentation, e-way bills, bilty/LR and compliance with transport regulations.
