Job Description: Assistant Manager – Transport Management
Experience : 6-10 years
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and monitor primary (plant/mother warehouse to depot) and secondary (depot to customer) dispatches.
Ensure timely vehicle placement and adherence to SLAs.
Verify billed amounts against agreed contract rates and approved rate cards.
Validate distance, weight, and vehicle type as per LR (Lorry Receipt).
Ensure GST compliance on freight invoices (HSN, tax split, place of supply, registration details).
Post verified bills for timely payment and resolve transporter queries.
Cross-check LR copy, e-way bill, and GRN for each trip; ensure document completeness.
Prepare MIS reports: transport cost (primary & secondary), per-kg/per-km benchmarks, lane-wise cost, and variance analysis.
