Job summary

GatiHire is seeking an experienced Traffic In-Charge to oversee daily transportation and shipment movement for its Express Logistics vertical. The role requires hands-on expertise in traffic operations, vehicle and route planning, and TAT monitoring within a fast-paced logistics network.

The candidate will coordinate with hubs, branches, drivers, transporters, and internal teams to ensure timely dispatch, monitor delays, and drive improvements in TAT and service efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Express Logistics, Express Cargo, Courier, or Transportation Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in Traffic / Transport Operations.
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle planning, route planning, and shipment movement.
• Strong experience in TAT monitoring and delay management.
• Experience coordinating with drivers, transporters, hubs, and branches.
• Strong operational coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple routes, vehicles, and operational issues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day traffic and transportation operations.
• Plan and coordinate vehicle deployment as per shipment requirements.
• Monitor vehicle and shipment movement across the network.
• Ensure timely dispatch and movement of shipments as per defined TAT.
• Coordinate with hubs, branches, drivers, transporters, and internal operations teams.
• Monitor vehicle arrival and departure schedules; track delays and dispatch issues.
• Take timely corrective action to ensure smooth shipment movement.
• Prepare MIS reports and handle transportation-related escalations.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in traffic operations, vehicle planning, route management, shipment movement, and TAT monitoring. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day traffic and transportation operations. Plan and coordinate vehicle deployment as per shipment requirements. Monitor vehicle and shipment movement across the network. Ensure timely dispatch and movement of shipments as per defined TAT. Monitor transporter and vehicle performance. Ensure efficient utilization of vehicles and transportation resources. Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to improve TAT and service efficiency.
