Job summary

Blue Dart in India is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead end-to-end hub operations, ensure timely vehicle arrivals, route planning, and efficient last-mile shipment allocation. You will monitor shipment flow, backlogs, and delivery performance while driving improvements.

You will supervise Delivery Executives, Riders, Sorters, and Hub Staff; handle attendance, rostering, SOP training, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in logistics, courier, express distribution, or e-commerce operations.
• Experience in last-mile delivery and team handling preferred.
• Strong leadership and process adherence.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

Operations Management

• Manage end-to-end hub operations including inbound, sorting, scanning, bagging, and dispatch activities.
• Ensure timely vehicle arrival, route planning, and last-mile shipment allocation.
• Monitor daily shipment flow and delivery performance.

Team Management

Delivery Performance

• Achieve delivery KPIs including:
• Delivery Success Rate
• First Attempt Delivery
• On-Time Delivery
• NDR (Non-Delivery Report) Reduction
• RTO (Return to Origin) Control
• Monitor productivity of delivery associates.

Customer Service

• Resolve customer escalations within TAT.
• Coordinate with customer service teams for shipment-related issues.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and service quality.

Inventory & Asset Control

• Maintain hub assets, scanners, handheld devices, and delivery bags.
• Ensure shipment security and inventory accuracy.
• Monitor fuel, vehicle utilization, and operational expenses.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to company policies and operational SOPs.
• Maintain workplace safety standards.
• Conduct audits and ensure process compliance.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3-8 years of experience in logistics, courier, express distribution, or e-commerce operations.
• Experience in last-mile delivery and team handling preferred.
