Job summary

VFRYT in India is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain professional to oversee transport procurement, vendor management, and outbound logistics. The role focuses on route planning, vehicle oversight, and ensuring timely deliveries in a fast-growing courier/logistics startup environment.

The candidate should have 3+ years of experience managing transport vendors, strong Excel skills, and a collaborative, proactive mindset to drive efficiency and cost reduction across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control warehouse dispatch and outbound operations.
• Ensure picking, packing and staging within agreed TAT.
• Plan milk-run vehicles to optimize FTL usage and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with vendors and transport teams for on-time delivery.
• Maintain MIS updates on supply, QC checks and inventory variation.
• Track KPIs and drive system improvements.
• Inspect FTL vehicle and monitor legal documents daily.

Job description

• Monitoring and controlling the Warehouse dispatch operations in Transport also cross-functioned in outbound operations.
• Ensures Picking, packing, and staging of the shipments are done within a TAT without any breech. If required coordinates with the tech team to resolve the issue on time.
• Once the shipment is staged, QC has been started to ensure the right products reach the right customer.
• Planning the milk-run vehicles for multiple-point loading to utilize the FTL, which reduces the excess vehicle usage to cut down the ad-hoc cost.
• Handled multiple vehicle sizes and vendors with national and zonal connections for on-time placement. Managing vehicles in TMS for tracking, planning, and return shipments, NFBF pickup, etc.
• Truck planning for customer ETA plan and packaging specification, working truck loading simulation.
• Daily basis prepare Routes, truck planning & preplanning of outbound loads, Customer urgent depend.
• Conduct training program for drivers & instruct safety, discipline.
• MIS update daily to management regarding Supply, QC Check & Shortfall / Inventory Variation
• Monitor performance against KPI & Responsible for system improvements
• Prepared logistics bills from customers' and suppliers' expenses & sent them to management.
• FTL vehicle inspection is done every day & vehicle legal documents are monitored.
• To ensure timely delivery as per the required schedule and TAT.
• Handling to Transport Vehicles as Per CUT OFF
• Maintaining POD receipt from Customer
