Exide Industries is seeking a proactive Territory Manager to drive business across the North-East region. You will interpret engineering drawings, identify spare parts and service requirements, and build strong customer relationships.

Key duties include preparing quotations and tender documents, coordinating order processing in SAP, and ensuring timely billing and dispatch while pursuing sales targets. Travel across the North-East is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales within an industrial context.

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Territory Manager to manage business operations across the North-East region.

Role & responsibilities

1. Technical Understanding & Customer Support

• Interpret engineering drawings and understand customer-specific technical requirements to ensure accurate identification of spare parts and service requirements.
• Conduct customer site visits to assess equipment conditions, identify modification and service requirements, and recommend suitable solutions.

2. Spare Parts Quotations & Tender Management

• Prepare and submit spare parts quotations, commercial offers, and tender documentation within defined timelines.

3. Business Development & Order Conversion

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across the North-East territory.
• Engage with customers to understand their requirements, optimize order quantities and specifications, and improve order conversion.
• Track prospective orders and maintain regular follow-up to achieve assigned sales and business targets.

4. Order Processing, Billing & Dispatch Coordination

• Prepare purchase indents and create sales orders in SAP, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing for billing.

5. Payment Follow-up & Receivables Management

• Follow up with customers for timely payment realization against outstanding invoices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in technical sales.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel.
• Strong customer relationship, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities, with willingness to travel across the North-East region.
