Tender Executive – A professional responsible for managing and overseeing the entire process of preparing and submitting tenders for procurement, contracts, or projects within an organization. The role is critical in ensuring that the organization remains competitive in winning contracts or business opportunities through structured and strategic responses to tender invitations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Tender Application Process: Reviewing tender documents, understanding project requirements, and developing a strategy for responding to the tender. Preparing and coordinating the submission of tenders via manual and e‑tendering platforms such as GEM and IREPS.GOV.IN.
- Collaboration: Working with technical experts, project managers, legal advisors, and finance teams to gather necessary information and ensure the proposal is realistic, competitive, and comprehensive.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensuring that all tender submissions adhere to legal, financial, and technical guidelines, including any required accreditations or certifications.
- Follow‑up & Record‑keeping: Managing post‑submission activities such as clarifications, contract negotiations, and maintaining a database of tender outcomes to inform future strategies.
- Industry Awareness: Staying updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in government procurement policies to keep tender responses competitive.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) or a BCom/BSc with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Freshers with internships are welcome.
- Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in tendering, knowledge of manual and e‑tendering systems like GEM and IREPS.GOV.IN.
- Experience in government departments and business development is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Fast reading habits and ability to process detailed information quickly.
- Familiarity with e‑tendering platforms and digital signature usage.
