Job summary

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs
• Design and develop HMI and user-friendly operator interfaces.
• Commission automation systems at factory and customer sites, including PLC, HMI, VFDs, sensors, actuators, and electrical panels.
• Perform testing, debugging, and validation of complete control systems before dispatch.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, RS485, Ethernet/IP, and TCP/IP networking.
• Integrate field devices and sensors.
• Assist in the development of control logic for control systems.
• Prepare electrical drawings, I/O lists, control philosophy, functional design specifications (FDS), commissioning reports, and user manuals.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and service engineers.
• Diagnose electrical panel faults including PLC I/O, power supplies, relays, contactors, VFDs, SMPS, communication failures, and instrumentation issues.
• Support R&D activities for new automation products, testing, and continuous product improvement.
• Train customers and internal service personnel on system operation and troubleshooting.
• Travel to customer sites across India whenever required for installation, commissioning, and technical support.

Required Skills

• 14 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming using IEC 61131-3 languages (Ladder Logic,Function Block Diagram; Structured Text is an added advantage).
• Hands-on experience in HMI development
• Good understanding of industrial communication protocols:
• Modbus RTU
• Modbus TCP
• RS485
• Ethernet
• TCP/IP Networking
• Knowledge of VFD commissioning and motor control systems.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Basic understanding of IoT, cloud connectivity, or remote monitoring will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Qualification

• Diploma / B. Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 14 years in industrial automation or PLC-based systems.
• Freshers with strong PLC and automation fundamentals are also encouraged to apply.
