Job summary

S G Controls in Pune, Maharashtra, seeks a Sr. PLC Programmer to join its automation team. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, and support PLC/HMI/SCADA based control systems for industrial projects, ensuring performance, safety, and reliability.

You will read electrical schematics, perform on-site commissioning, training, and provide technical support to maintenance and operations. Travel to client sites for installation and startup is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation/ETC Engineering or related field.
• 5–8+ years of PLC programming and industrial automation experience.
• Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA programming and on-site commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC programs (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Allen-Bradley).
• Troubleshoot and debug PLC code to resolve issues.
• Integrate and program HMIs and SCADA systems.
• Read electrical schematics and P&IDs; ensure safety and compliance.
• Support commissioning, testing, and on-site startup of systems.
• Provide training and technical support to maintenance teams.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our automation and controls team. The candidate will be responsible for the development, programming, testing, and support of PLC|HMI|SCADA based control systems for industrial automation projects. You will work closely with engineering, teams to ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC programs (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, etc.) for new and existing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and debug PLC code to resolve equipment and process issues.
• Integrate and program HMIs and SCADA systems.
• Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA/VFD/PID/TIC programming
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, instrumentation, and electrical design.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and propose effective automation solutions.
• Support commissioning, testing, and on-site startup of automated systems.
• Provide training and technical support to maintenance and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
• Willingness to travel for onsite commissioning and support.
