Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PLC & Automation Engineer to design, develop, commission, and maintain industrial automation systems. The candidate should possess strong expertise in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, Industrial Electrical Low Voltage (LV) Control Panels, VFD integration, industrial communication protocols, and electrical troubleshooting. The role includes domestic and international site visits, commissioning, installation, troubleshooting, and customer support, particularly across Gulf countries.
Key Responsibilities
PLC & Automation
- Develop PLC software for industrial automation and process control applications.
- Design and configure HMI and SCADA systems.
- Integrate PLCs with sensors, actuators, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial equipment.
- Perform PLC program modifications, testing, validation, and commissioning.
- Configure industrial communication networks including Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, CANopen, and OPC.
- Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
Electrical Control Panel Engineering
- Design and develop Low Voltage (LV) Control Panels, MCC Panels, PLC Panels, Automation Panels, and Junction Boxes.
- Prepare electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Select electrical components including PLCs, HMIs, relays, MCCBs, MCBs, contactors, overload relays, SMPS, VFDs, soft starters, and instrumentation.
- Ensure panel wiring complies with IEC and customer standards.
- Supervise panel assembly, wiring, inspection, and testing.
Site Installation & Commissioning
- Perform installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Conduct loop checking, I/O testing, signal verification, and functional testing.
- Troubleshoot PLC programs, electrical systems, communication networks, and instrumentation.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, and project teams during commissioning.
- Prepare commissioning reports and site documentation.
Project Execution
- Participate in project planning and execution.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Procurement, Production, and Quality departments.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) and customized automation solutions.
- Ensure projects are completed within schedule and budget.
Documentation
- Prepare PLC software documentation, electrical drawings, operating manuals, and commissioning reports.
- Maintain revision control for electrical drawings and software backups.
- Update project documentation after site modifications.
Customer Support
- Provide technical support remotely and onsite.
- Conduct operator training and maintenance training for customers.
- Support Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and preventive maintenance activities.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in industrial automation projects within manufacturing plants, utilities, oil & gas, water treatment, or infrastructure sectors.
- Hands-on experience with PLC control panels, motor control systems, and industrial networking.
- Knowledge of power distribution, industrial safety, and electrical protection systems.
- Experience with OEM machine automation and custom-built control panels.
- Exposure to IIoT, remote monitoring, and Industry 4.0 solutions is an advantage.
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively within India and internationally.
- Ready to undertake short-term and long-term assignments in Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain).
- Ability to perform site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer training at project locations.
- Possession of a valid passport is preferred.
