Job summary

Innovative Instruments & Controls is seeking an Automation Support Engineer to provide technical support for Industrial Automation projects across India. You will program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, and Servo Systems, and perform installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of automation systems.

You will read electrical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and coordinate with design teams.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, Servo programming.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control wiring diagrams.
• Experience with electrical control panels and wiring diagrams reading.
• Knowledge of P&ID diagrams and industrial instrumentation is a plus.

About the Role

Provide technical support for Industrial Automation projects and customer requirements.Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, and Servo Systems.Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of automation systems.Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation-related issues at customer sites and remotely.Read and interpret electrical drawings, control panel schematics, and P&ID diagrams.Configure industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, CANopen, and RS-485.Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).Coordinate with design, panel manufacturing, and project teams for successful project execution.Prepare technical reports, commissioning documents, and service reports.Provide operator training and technical guidance to customers.Maintain documentation, software backups, and project records.Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.Provide on-site and remote support across India when required.

Key Requirements
