Job summary

Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited in Pune invites a qualified PLC/Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, and VFD commissioning to join our engineering team.

You will program, test, commission, troubleshoot, and support automation projects, interpret P&IDs and E&I documents, and contribute to FAT/SAT activities on site. A 2–16 year background and relevant diplomas/degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PLC/Automation engineering experience required.
• Proficiency in PLC, HMI and SCADA programming essential.
• Knowledge of VFDs, electrical & instrumentation concepts desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC logic, HMI and SCADA applications per IEC 61131-3.
• Program and troubleshoot multiple PLC platforms (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, ABB, Honeywell, Carel).
• Configure, program and commission VFDs across brands.
• Perform FAT/SAT, commissioning and on-site support.
• Interpret P&IDs, I/O lists and E&I documents to create automation solutions.
• Prepare engineering docs including diagrams, BOMs and SOPs.
• Integrate industrial protocols and IIoT devices.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants and suppliers for troubleshooting.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PLC/Automation Engineer with 25 years of experience in industrial automation, PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, VFD commissioning, and control systems. The candidate will be responsible for programming, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and providing technical support for automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop PLC logic, HMI, and SCADA applications using IEC 61131-3 standards (Ladder, FBD, Structured Text).
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs including Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, ABB, Honeywell, and Carel.
• Configure, program, and commission VFDs across multiple brands.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and onsite support.
• Interpret P&IDs, I/O lists, and other E&I documents to develop automation solutions.
• Prepare engineering documentation including logic diagrams, I/O lists, alarm/trip lists, BOMs, and SOPs.
• Integrate industrial communication protocols and IIoT devices.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, and suppliers while providing technical support and troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
• Proficiency with Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, ABB, or similar PLC platforms.
• Strong knowledge of VFD programming, industrial communication protocols, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) documents.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, MS Office, and object-oriented programming (C#, C++, Java, Python) is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
