Job description

I. Purpose of the Role (Location: Delhi/NCR)

Technical Specification Engineer drives the commercial strategy for the Building segment of the construction division at Bekaert, including Industrial flooring and Precast concrete in the North and East India Region. The role focuses on increasing the system share of steel fibre concrete and providing technical support to regional sales managers. Responsibilities include lead generation, opportunity development, and technical advisory to design offices and customers.

II. Roles and Responsibilities

• Strengthen Technical Representation: Build strong connections with architects, structural engineers, PMCs, and consultants through interactive sessions, training, and knowledge sharing.
• Engage with the Engineering Community: Collaborate with engineers to identify project leads early and ensure our unique specifications are included.
• Support Regional Sales Managers: Work closely with sales managers to safeguard our project specifications by actively engaging with key stakeholders.
• Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
• Prioritize Key Engineering Offices: Identify and focus on influential engineering offices and consultants to increase adoption of our solutions.
• Educate and Build Relationships: Offer courses, seminars, and practical assistance to engineers, fostering long-term partnerships.
• Provide Technical Support: Assist sales teams with technical designs, project strategies, and on-site support to ensure successful project outcomes.

III. Skills & Competencies

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in technical specification and support, preferably in the construction or flooring industry.
• Strong understanding of steel fibre concrete and its applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to provide innovative solutions and technical advice.
• Experience working with sales teams and supporting them in technical challenges.
• Familiarity with the regional market dynamics and cultural nuances of North and East India.
